Modern day makes us want to have a more efficient lifestyle.  Spend less time working and more time relaxing has always been the goal of our lives; but relaxing nowadays has come to be a luxury item especially if we want to share our life with a special furry friend.

In most occasions this means that you will not get yourself involved in the bathing of your cat; letting others “more professional” take on the job; yet while this might suit you in comfort, it will not be as pleasing for your cat as you think it is.  Interaction with you is what your cat loves; being with you and doing things with you is what pampers a cat, not the fact that you take her to the vet or pet parlour and have her nails done.

An important part of that interaction is you getting your hands dirty in the care and bathing of your cat.  It is in this way and this way only that the bonds between you and your cat will increase and strengthen, even though such bonds will thicken when you take your time to pet and cuddle your cat.

But petting and cuddling will not suffice when you have to be on your best regarding the health of your kitten.  Sometimes you will notice small bumps and other things while you are petting your cat and in some other occasions, the best moment to check the change of colour of your cat’s skin is when you are bathing him or her.

So becoming involved in bathing your cat will not only be beneficial for you and your cat’s relationship, but can be a heads up when some health related issue starts to surface giving you even more time to tackle and prevent any condition or thing from becoming worse or even life threatening.
