Changing veterinarians might be a right thing to do, especially when you are not that sure that you are doing the right thing by your cat with the specific treatment that he or she is having for a certain and specific condition.

An important thing that you must be prepared to do is to say “no” to a specific veterinarian, despite the time and sized “click” that you might have done.  Your cat must come first of your relationship between you and your veterinarian as humans.  Whether you take your precious kitten to the welfare clinic or to a private veterinarian, there are things that you do not want to see in your veterinarian and that they must be taken as signals to start seeking for a new cat veterinarian.

Failing to change veterinarians when you have the time and the opportunity will mean that you might as easily loose your beloved furry friend to the mismanaging abilities of a poorly educated physician.  Make sure that your veterinarian knows that you are not to blame someone for not knowing, but that you will blame that same person for stating that he or she knows when in truth, he or she is completely ignorant.

Some cat diseases, when caught in time are fairly ease to cure and fix; though there are sometimes when they are mistreated and the disease will worsen taking the life of the cat.  Who is to blame in such occasions?

Naturally, the veterinarian who should have been forthright enough and told you “I do not know”, but you will also hold some of the blame, since you are the one holding the key to your cat persona; as a result, you were the one to know that the treatment was not working.
