A Cat’s Senses

The senses that a cat carries is often highly susceptible to many elements. A cat’s senses are much stronger than our own, and should be handled as such. A cat can taste things stronger than us, see things better than us, and have a range of hearing that far surpasses our own. A cat’s senses are intriguing and educational all at the same time.

A cat has some of the most heightened levels of senses that are possible for an animal. This is because they are descendants of predators, and still operate as such. Many cats can hear things that we can not, as their pitch for receiving noise is well out of our hearing range. Many people may not know that a cat’s whiskers are also used to control their senses. A cat’s whiskers are needed in order to feel around in the dark, although their eye sight can be used to maneuver though the darkness.

It has also been stated that a cat can sense fear and distress, as with most animals. Cats seem to possess an elevated level for emotion and empathy towards humans and even other animals. With their sensitive sides in check, many cats can become a man’s best friend as they are known to be feel the emotions of their owners best. A cat’s senses can truly take them to new levels that have not been experienced before in other animals, and can also teach humans how they can be so smart when they rely on their heightened senses alone.
