Feline Evolution

Cats are our feline friends who are natural hunters. This trait of theirs cannot be changed, as it is instinctual. Being solitary animals, they survive the wild easily as long as there is prey for them! In cats, hunting takes a three-step process; stalking, pouncing and then biting. As cat’s eyes are colored at night, they make good hunters in the night. Ancient Egyptians were of the impression that cats stored sunlight in their eyes, and used this light at night!

When buying a cat, there are some things that have to be followed. Cats have just varied personality traits as humans do. There are shy cats and cats that become the best lap warmer you can have. So it is important to know the mannerisms of a cat when in a group of other cats. The cat that plays with the other cats is most likely to be in good health. However, the cat that sits aside and is rather withdrawn while his companions are frolicking around then that cat may need some more attention and patience from you!

Well-adjusted cats are the best buy as they will play with you at the slightest call from you. However, the timid cat may be withdrawn and cautious, but will make a good pet for the lonely owner. It is always better for a home with children to buy a more outgoing cat as it will be fit and interested to play with the kids than the timid one.

Nowadays, there are many cat products, cat foods and cat jewelry available on the Internet for those interested in pampering the cat. All one has to do is to either visit online shops on the Internet or pet shops to choose the right accessory for your cat. The cat of today is indeed a more privileged cat than its ancestors were!
